Distributed Ledger Technology

DLT uses cryptography to secure and validate transactions and maintain the integrity of the ledger.

Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a digital system for recording and verifying transactions that is spread across a network of computers.

One of the most well-known examples of a DLT is the blockchain, which is used to record and verify transactions in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

DLT can be used to record a wide range of data transactions, not just cryptocurrencies.  Property transactions and land ownership are alternative uses for DLT but require the ability to store property boundaries.

Loracle can help you understand the opportunities, limitations, and technology solutions for storing spatial information in distributed ledgers.
