Loracle is owned and operated by Chris Morris, an accomplished leader with 25 years of location technology experience.

Chris moved to New Zealand with his Kiwi wife in 2010, abandoning flip flops and embracing the jandel.  Having worked for both software vendor and consultancy Chris has helped 100's of clients implement their own location technology systems. 

 

Most recently Chris has focused on product development, data provision and sales and marketing.  He understands the challenges faced by start-ups and scale-ups but also sees the opportunity Location Technology presents. 

 

With a particular passion for new technology trends Chris is excited about the role that location technology has to play in the development of systems that use artificial intelligence, augmented reality, distributed ledgers, web3.0, blockchain, and the internet of things.

Chris is the chair of the LocationTech working group under the IoT Alliance with NZ Tech and is on the Geospatial Capabilities Committee.  Chris lectures about Location Technology as part of the academyEX programme.

Chris likes Gin, particularly New Zealand Gin, of which there are a great many to chose from.
